What skills will students develop and demonstrate?
- Performance skills (GCSE show- case, community performances, class performances and free tui- tion on instrument of choice)
- Director skills – workshop with industry actors to produce a live performance to a small audience.
- Listening skills – trips to see live performances (drama and dance)
- Writing skills – reflection, setting targets, peer feedback, research on artists, careers and reviews of events

How will students’ learning be assessed?
Young people need to plan their work with an adviser/teacher and keep a record by creating their own Arts Award portfolio. Young people can pick their own style of portfolio – this could be a diary, video, website blog – or something different altogether.
